FDA（Food and Drug Administration，FDA）已经批准了高压氧可治疗这些疾病：

血管气体栓塞（air and gas bubbles in blood vessels）

贫血（输血跟不上时—severe anemia when blood transfusions cannot be used）

烧伤（在烧伤专科治疗的严重和大面积烧伤—severe and large burns treated at a specialized burn center）

一氧化碳中毒 carbon monoxide poisoning挤压伤（crush injury）

减压病（decompression sickness）

气性坏疽（gas gangrene）原因不明的突聋（complete hearing loss that occurs suddenly and without any known cause）严重皮肤和骨骼感染（infection of the skin and bone，severe）

放射损伤（radiation injury）

有坏死风险的皮肤、皮瓣移植（skin graft flap at risk of tissue death）

眼底血管阻塞（vision loss (when sudden and painless in one eye due to blockage of blood flow）

伤口不愈和糖尿病足（wounds，non-healing, diabetic foot ulcers）

  另外，FDA声明：“如果接受高压氧治疗，请去获得海底和高压氧医学协会认可的医院或机构接受治疗。”（“If your health care provider recommends HBOT, the FDA advises you get the treatment at a hospital or facility that has been inspected and is accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.”）
